Nothing Is Real, Anything Is Possible
Nothing Is Real, Anything Is Possible was my final major project for my BA studies, built around a long-standing interest in science, cosmology, astrophysics, and quantum mechanics. The goal was to make strange and difficult ideas feel more approachable, visual, and emotionally engaging.
The project explored how design, writing, illustration, and interactive experiments could help people begin to understand concepts that are usually invisible, abstract, or counterintuitive. Rather than trying to simplify the universe too much, I wanted to create a sense of curiosity and wonder that would encourage people to keep exploring.
The work included a book that I wrote, designed, and illustrated, along with an accompanying website, posters, and applets programmed with Processing. The project combined editorial design, visual storytelling, science communication, and generative interaction.
It was selected for the Emerge graphic design graduate showcase during the London Design Festival and was also shown at D&AD New Blood. It remains an early example of work I still care about: design as a way to make complex ideas feel approachable.
